Hi everyone!!!!!
My name is Beth and I am so excited to finally be joining the blogging world! I have been a blog stalker reader for quite a while now and finally found the courage to begin my own journey. I chose Flexible in First because I have a passion for doing what is right for students in the classroom. I am very passionate about flexible seating, positive behavior management (no clip charts here!), and giving students choice in the classroom. Teaching has been my passion since as long as I can remember. I never even had to think what I wanted to be when I grew up, I just knew! I have always had a strong love for young children!
So a little bit about me. I have been currently teaching in Northern California for 12 years. I have taught grades K-2. I started in Second Grade, moved to First Grade, taught a 1-2 Combo, then moved to Kindergarten, and then back to First Grade! First Grade is where my 💗 is. I just love that the kids are still young and don’t care that I love to sing and be silly with them!! I have taught at 4 different schools, both Title 1 and Non Title 1, worked for 6 different principals, and have taught 252+ kiddos!
I come from a big family. My parents raised 5 wonderful kids! 3 boys and 2 girls. I was baby #4! This is all of us when we visited Lake Tahoe together. We go to the same cabin every other year! All 23 of us in the same house can be crazy at times but so much fun.
This is me, my boyfriend, and our son Taylor. We are a small family, but have a lot of love for each other. My boyfriend is a nurse (that comes in handy!!!) and my son is a sophomore in high school. I love to spend time with these two! They are my favorite people! I also enjoy the beach, Disneyland (my favorite place in the whole world), watching the San Francisco Giants âš¾; and my newest hobby is using a planner! Who knew a planner could be so much fun!
Enough about me! I am so excited to share more with you. If you want to follow me just sign up in the box on the right!!! Thank you for joining me on this journey!!
A special thanks to Jessica for designing my blog!!!!
